Greetings – I’m Terry. As I am an intelligent chap, I came to Filey Cat Rescue all by myself! It appears that I managed to find my way to Little Heroes Sanctuary here in Gristhorpe without any help at all. I had been spotted on the grounds of Filey Cat Rescue on a number of occasions, mainly during the dark hours, but once I appeared in daylight, the humans could see that I wasn’t in great condition at all. It seems as if I sadly haven’t had an owner up until now, so I’m very weary of people and I am slowly learning to gain some trust with the humans here at the rescue.

As I didn’t want to be approached, I had to be caught in one of the rescue’s hand cat traps to be checked out. It was found that I didn’t have a microchip and no owner came forward for me. I was then subsequently neutered and microchipped. Whilst I was sedated, I also had a bit of a spruce up as I clearly hadn’t been grooming myself for quite some time, but I’m pleased to say I am in much better condition now.

Although I am still very wary of people, I am slowly letting the humans here at the rescue come a little bit closer to me every day. They are really hoping that with some time, they will be able to give me a good ol’ stroke!
