Good day! I'm Simba, the face of Filey Cat Rescue, the golden child and an all-round superstar! I've been living here at Little Heroes Sanctuary since October 2019 and was one of the cats that began the inception of the rescue.

When the humans took me in, I was ownerless and had suffered severe head injuries due to a road traffic accident and as a consequence, I was going to be put to sleep. But with the kindness, love and support of those at Filey Cat Rescue, my medical bills were paid for and I was on the way to recovery. Unfortunately, due to my accident, I am blind in one eye and use my front leg like a crutch to feel my way around. I also had broken bones and was malnourished on arrival. Since then, I haven't been without my problems. I usually visit the vet around once a week and go monthly for my B12 injections. I also struggle to eat enough to keep me healthy making me appear skinny, but I'm taken good care of - sometimes being fed via a syringe. On the bright side, I do get my own special cat food!

I enjoy a good saunter and explore during our cat walks and can often be found nuzzling up to my humans. However, I do have to be a bit careful when it rains - as it can cause me to break out with eczema. A good toweling down does the job!

Due to all of my medical issues, I am an expensive cat to keep with all the vet bills but the humans think I'm worth it (even if I can be a little sassy at times)! If you would like to support me, you can do so by donating to Filey Cat Rescue.
